Improv on Cape Cod

Too many people leave Cape Cod in pursuit of performing arts and comedy.

At Improv Cape Cod, we have always believed that it’s not only possible but plausible and essential to the Cape Cod community to live enriched lives that include theatre and comedy right here in our home.

Founded in 2020, our roots go back much further. Many of our troupes’ members have been participating in community theater, dance, film, music, and much more for most of their lives.

The kernel of the idea of Improv Cape Cod began in 2013 when our sister group New Classics Company was founded, and started performing weekly free improv shows as a way to promote and build energy for their full theatrical productions.

Most of our founding members are longtime performers or directors for our sister company, and Improv Cape Cod is heavily affiliated with them to this day.

Like New Classics Company, Improv Cape Cod is a community. With a grassroots approach to performance and comedy, we believe that anyone is capable of greatness. Our performers include people that by day are bookkeepers, wine merchants, scientists, clerks, and everything else.

That can mean you. This website and this company is about and should be about you; our community. Whether you’re a part of the growing Cape Cod audience, or an eventual part of our troupe - Improv Cape Cod is us; and us includes you.
